Up for sale is my excellent condition Sony TTS-8000 turntable, housed in the original (but now very red) Sony artificial marble / SBMC layered plinth and with a Stax UA-7 tonearm and original Stax HS-7 headshell.

 

The motor unit and arm are both in excellent cosmetic condition and fully functional. The motor unit is quiet and holds speed with and without Xtal lock. The plinth does have a couple of very small chips in the paint on the edges, but nothing too obvious. The lid is in good condition and also functions perfectly. Have I mentioned than the plinth is in demure Fire Engine Red ?

 

The TT will come with a high quality (Airlink -UKJA250 250VA) step down transformer and a rather rare spare blank armboard.

 

Hard to price this, as decent TTS-8000’s are becoming hard to find and the cheapest plinthed one I can see for sale at the moment is €2000,+ with no arm.

 

Red may not be to everybody’s taste, so how does £1450 sound ?
