Dogs generally have much better hearing than us humans, especially the older amongst us. This is something HMV understood from the very beginning. How to your dogs respond to your system and music? On playing a pretty random miix this afternoon with our two spaniels in the room . They are pretty indifferent to most classical music, seemed a bit on edge to Tubular Bells, but seemed to love Joni Mitchell Blue, on even moving from her usual spot on the couch to the centre point of the speakers, presumably to get the best soundstage. Please no woofer lame jokes!

My dog reacts as if another has alarmed him when canine noises occur, but he does so when the source is a computer speaker. I've never clocked him responding to music unless it has doggy noises. I used to have a cat who was guaranteed to enter the room and remain while a certain group was being given a spin.
